Philippine Science High School Admission Test

Philippine Science High School , the country's premiere secondary educational institution is still accepting admission applicants until this Friday, July 15. 

Getting into Pisay is surely no easy feat but if you do, you will be given a quality education "enriched in science and mathematics" that's designed for "exceptionally gifted Filipino children." You are also privileged to study without paying for any tuition fee and you get free loan of textbooks. Top that with monthly stipends (you're being paid for just studying well, how cool is that?!) and if you come from a low-income family, you may be eligible to receive uniform, transportation and living allowances.

During our time (yup, I'm a Pisay alumna) we have to undergo two (2) screenings/examinations. The PSHS administration changed the admission process in the recent years and made it just one examination - a scholastic aptitude test consisting of questions about Scientific Ability, Quantitative Ability, Abstract Reasoning and Verbal Aptitude. This year's examination will be held on September 10, 2011.

Philippine Science High School NCE Application Now Ongoing

THE BATTLE OF THE CORNED TUNAS

This IS one very very late post. I completely forgot I have a file saved somewhere. Shucks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I have been meaning to make this post since the very first time I saw Derek Ramsey's Century Corned tuna TV commercial. I thought San Marino must be doing well in terms of market sales considering that they were first to introduce the 'corned tuna' concept in the Philippine market - and that Century had to keep up with it. San Marino Corned Tuna TVC Century Tuna TVC So finally last Sunday morning about two weeks ago, I opened two cans of corned tuna - one San Marino and one Century - and put them to a taste test. There's 7 of us having breakfast then. Without telling them which is which, I asked them which tastes better.
