There's this certain 'kilig' feel when I learn about book sales. Hahaha! I received an email this morning about another book sale! heehee!  Anvil Publishing is one of the top publishers in our country producing textbooks for grade school until college. They also have popular trade books like the "Ang Mga Kuwento ni Lola Basyang" by Severino Reyes, to which stories we loved to read as kids. Check out the Anvil Book Sale! You might find something you need (or like) :-)

It's June again and our little ones are back to school. My family had a grand time vacationing out of the country during the summer break, and with that comes a fresh take on the things that are yet to come until we finish 2012. :-)  --- A great way to start the school year is by going to a book sale! Haha!  Seriously, if you still have extra money (after paying off tuition fees and shopping for school supplies) and want your little one(s) have a head start on reading (especially pre-schoolers), going to a book sale may be your best bet.  Better late than never...

I am a book lover. Mike could attest that I'd rather spend my money on books than on shoes or bags . Yup he asked me to strike 'bag' out. Haha! When I was given an option to have an attic built in our house, turning it into a library was the first thing that came to my mind. Who would've thought...I now have a library of my own! Sometimes, I just go upstairs and stare at my book collection. I love my books so much. Teehee. =) photo source: [ LINK ]

Being not so really into movies...I mean, I am but not the type who'll go watch on premieres and that I let some really good movies to pass without me watching it...you'll rarely find blog posts here about the movies I watch(ed). The last one was Hop, and that happened to be a treat for the kiddos. Anyway, I just finished reading Emily Giffin's book Something Borrowed , which has been on my shelf for over a year already. Last year was crazy that I wasn't even able to read books I continually hoard from bookstores. This is my book cover. I find the pink version cuter and girlier though. =) I took it upon myself to finish all my back-logs before buying new ones now so here I am, with stacks of books on my bedside table. I am just so happy that I was able to design a 'library' - shelves for my books - in our attic so the books are somewhat organized. I am trying to build my virtual book catalog via Goodreads but that will make for another blog post. :: :: :: ...

Since April is fast approaching, I am now making my birthday wishlist!  Here goes: >>> A new laptop . I'm still mourning over my 'dying' laptop . I need one badly. I feel bad that my hand-mixer broke down just weeks ago while I was making muffins. Now I am back to the tedious manual mixing, and I am worried that I might not be able to create the same quality and texture of the baked goods I used to do without my mixer.
