My 29 List --- 2012

Image
Blogging has taken a back seat in my life the past months (okay, make that a year...sorry guys!) so I missed on writing about a lot of things that happened in my life. :-) Anyway, I thought of still posting my "29 List" this year even if it's way too late. My "List" is an annual thing I do --- a wish list of things I want to receive, be it a need or a want. :-) Sometimes I get lucky, that even if I think one wish is too much ('luho' na lang) I still get it, thanks to my very generous family and friends --- don't get me wrong, I never 'insist' ha! hehehe! :-) In my " 28 List " last year, I got more that 50% of what I wished for (*note: material things*). From those I did not get, I'm including some in my 29. Here goes:

The procedure was done last March 3 - which we fondly called Day 0. My first day as a new person, given a new lease at life. I've been in the hospital for almost a month. I was given a high-dose chemotherapy regimen to prepare me for the transplant. I owe my life to my stem cell donor, my eldest brother Fidel. Thank you for sharing your blood with me - I can now literally and figuratively say that the same blood are flowing through our veins. Thank you - To my...

A Letter for My Little Angel

Image
*Imported from my Old Blog* Dear W, I have always dreamed of having an angel like you. And when you came into my life, I knew God gave me a blessing I’d cherish my entire life. The whole nine months of carrying you in my womb and all the time until today are memories inscribed in my heart. You know, I had a lot of plans for you, for us. All the things I hope would be best for you. From giving warm comfortable clothes, to giving you milk when you’re hungry, to singing you lullabyes when you sleep. But then mommy’s being around always had to stop early because mommy got sick. I had to stay in the hospital for long periods of time. Mommy can’t carry you when mommy’s at home, and mommy can’t get near you always, because mommy just can’t. You know, mommy is just sick but mommy is already dying knowing time is uncertain and I can’t be taking care of you in those times we have or we have left. Now mommy is always praying that I get well again, so I can make up for the times I had to be away ...
